Indiana Jones Directed by Steven Spielberg is about a man named Indiana Jones who is on a quest to find find the answers to the past by searching the world to find lost artifacts. He is good at what he does, but he isn't the only one after these mysterious objects. He will fight and kill to reach his dream of finding Noah's arch and his dream of unlocking the key to all human existence.
This was my first time watching this movie and I was pretty impressed. I liked it a lot, and wasn't sure in the beginning if I was going to. I have never been a fan of Indiana Jones movies but this one was a joy to watch. My favorite part was how Harrison Ford got through all the traps that were set up by the natives, in order to find the artifacts. He new exactly what to do and it was so realistic. I also liked the scene where he is fighting off all the Nazis on while driving the truck, and he crawls underneath it while its still moving. That was pretty awesome.
I gave this movie an 8 because I didn't really like the ending. I thought it was a little cheesy and I wish it could have been a little bit more intense and inspirational I suppose. Over all, it was a very classy action movie that had a good story and good effects.

Top 10 movies
1. Iron Man
Iron Man made my number one movie because it was a great film and did a fantastic job making a great action film with some comedy and a little bit of love. It had some of my favorite actors and actresses and I just loved it.2. The Dark Night
The Dark Night made my second film because it was such an amazing movie with great effects. The joker was played very very well and Batman did a fantastic job being the superhero. This movie was really good to me mainly because the action and the thrills it gave me while watching. Everything about it was exciting.
3. Finding Nemo
Disney movies have always been movies that I love. Finding Nemo is a favorite because I can relate to this story in so many ways. I have been on a long successful journey, where the most important thing I learned from it was family. This movie teaches you so much about how family is the number one thing you have in life and that you should tell them you love them everyday.
4. Wall-e
5. Indiana Jones
Indiana Jones was my number five mainly because it was a very good movie to watch based off of its action and gnarly stunts. I am not a fan of these films but this movie did a good job of catching my attention right in the beginning. Harrison Ford is one of my favorite actors and I really enjoyed watching him in this movie as a man who is on a mission to find the lost ark. the ending of this movie was kind of dumb but over all it was pretty good.
6. Rocky III
Now this movie is something that I enjoyed because I love inspirational films about men and woman who have to fight and prove that they are the best. Everyone always wants the good guy to win and it is so exciting when you get really into a film where you start to think its real. This movie was like that for me and I thought that from beginning to end it did a good job keeping you interested and giving you something to talk about.
7. The Italian Job
I have seen this movie many many times. I enjoy it every time because it is such an awesome and clever movie. I love how there is a team of highly talented men to steal gold and the way they do it really makes you have goosebumps. I love watching movies where the characters do crazy stunts and get a way with it. Even though we all know its just a movie, it really makes you say wow that was sick! This movie made me say that more than once.
8. The Bourne identity
The very first seen you see is a dead man floating in the water. From that second my eyes are glued to the screen. To the last scene where he is hugging the girl he loves. This movie is non stop action all the way. Jason Bourne played by Matt Damon is a wonderful actor and a very skilled government spy. This is a film for everyone to enjoy and get caught up in.
9. The Curious Case of Benjamen Button
The Curious Case of Benjamen Button, definitely made me curious. A good movie means something different to everyone, but to me is one that keeps me interested and wanting to keep watching. This movie is a great example of a film that keeps my mind thinking. Although it had its up and downs, it had some great acting and a great story line that all audiences will love.
10. The karate Kid
Out of all the movies we watched in class, I didn't have a top ten. I decided to put the karate Kid tenth because I ran out of movies that I liked. This was a very boring film to me and It was one I already knew what was going to happen. I did however think that the it was a cute film for young boys and girls.
Never Back Down ( 3 out of 10)
Who doesn't love a action flick with two very handsome teenage boys fighting with there shirts off? No one under the age of 14 that's for sure. This movie takes place in Miami Florida where a boy named Jake Tyler( Sean Ferris) is new in school and is having a hard time fitting in to the cool crowd. Ryan McCarthy who is played by Cam Gigandet is the coolest kid in town. He has mad fighting skills to prove it. When he has everything that Jake dreams of having including the perfect girlfriend, they will soon begin to fight where every real man goes to prove he is the best. The fighting rink.
While watching this movie all I could think about was who thought of making such a stupid film. It wasn't bad until it became way to cheesy and like all movies, made a way over exaggerated point showing what high school is like. For example when Jake Tyler first moves to school, everyone knows who he is because there cell phones all have video of him fighting. I thought this was dumb because how did everyone know he was moving to there school and why did so many people know he got kicked out of school. I found it very odd and hard to believe that would ever happen in real life. Besides the cute boys and the shirtless scenes, I know I can speak for all girls that this movie was lame and had no point to it whatsoever.
I feel bad for the actors and actresses in this film. They all did a really bad job and should not have tried out for the part. I think that this movie didn't deserve to come out into theaters, but I am sure there are many young girls out there that waited in line to see it. All fifteen of them.

Walle ( 10 out of 10)
Another Disney film came out in 2008 called Wall-e. This movie which will attract the young minds all round the world. This Disney love story is between two robots. One whom lives on earth that is deserted by humans. The other lives in space who is designed to find life on earth. When there paths cross, Wall-e will find himself love struck at this spectacular robot named Eva, and willing to do anything for her, especially when the human race is in trouble.
Everyone from ages 1 to 100 loves a Disney movie. Over the years Disney has expanded its imagination to a whole new world of love, humor, horror, and comedy. This movie is one to enjoy for a life time. I thought that it did a great job getting my attention, and getting me to laugh out loud. It touched my heart in many places. It all started at the part where Wall-e would always look at his hand because he wanted to hold Eva's hand. He new that holding hands was a symbol of love and that's all he wanted. I thought it was adorable and it made me feel sympathy for Wall-e. Also, I loved the part when Wall-e is put in a room where Robots that aren't wanted go, and he sees Eva is taken to the cleaning room and believes she is in danger. But when he cant get out of his cube, he figures out a way to escape, and he tries to save her when she was fine. I thought that was so sweet and a great way to show how much Wall-e loves her.
This movie had a great beginning, middle and end. The beginning was my favorite part of the whole movie. I loved how they showed what happened to earth when technology takes over our lives. I would recommend this movie to all who hasn't seen it already. It is an amazing motion picture, and I will be watching it again soon!!
iron man( 10 out of 10)
Who doesn't love a film where the lead actor is Robert Downey Jr and Jeff Brigdes? I know that they are some Americas most favorite actors. No to mention my own. In the movie Iron Man directed by Jon Favreau, Robert plays a man named Tony Stark and Jeff Brigdes plays Obadiah Stan. This Action movie is a story of a man who is more talented than god when it comes to building machines and weapons. His role in this movie is a millionaire engineer who is captured in Afghanistan where he is held captive in a cave, but he builds an armor suit to set him free. Soon he will face more problems than the betrayal of his own company, but perhaps even the love of his life Pepper, played by Gwyneth Paltrow.
I would have given this movie a higher rating if I could have. I love action films with some humor and romance. I love films where they are intense and have a a lot of catchy lines. This movie in-particular had a lot of witty lines that made me laugh. For example Tony Stark is very sarcastic, and when he is asked by and interviewer " You have been called the Da Vinci of our time, what do you say to that?" he replies, "Absolutely ridiculous, I don't paint." I thought this was very funny.
So when the movie was over, I really enjoyed how it ended and I am so excited to see Iron Man 2 coming out this year. I hope it is a good and humorous as the first one. Over all, This movie is a great one to watch and a classic movie to add to you film collection at home!

The Dark Night (10 out of 10)
From the second you turn on the movie The Dark Night on, directed by Christopher Nolan, you will not be able to turn your eyes away from the screen. This movie is a known thriller all around the world. Batman who is played by Christian Bail is a hero in a city called Gotham. When a new criminal mastermind named the Joker starts to cause new tension in Gotham, Batman must go against everything he believes, in order to stop the villain from killing more people. The thriller and love story brings out the true villain in every hero and questions what good really is.
A ten out of ten is just a rating I would give this movie, but words cannot describe how much I enjoyed watching it. The acting in this movie was so indescribable. My favorite character was the Joker, played by Health ledger. My favorite part of the movie was when he and the bad guys in the mob were all in a meeting room, and the Joker tells them that they all better listen to him or Batman will kill them. The bad guys don't believe him, and thats when the real fighting begins. I thought the Joker was bad ass and also the movie made his evil nature funny. I laughed at the way he did things and acted. I loved how he approached the situations in the movie. For example when he says " Excuse me, I wanna drive." He says this as he pushes a man out of his own truck so he can catch up with the batman.
The end was also a very good one. I love how in ends like in every super hero film where the bad guy dies and everyone learns and they change from it. The action was good and there wasn't to many explosions. Over all I loved it!! This movie was great and I hope they make another one just like it.

Rocky III (7 out of 10)
Everyone knows and has heard of the famous Rocky Balboa III movie directed, written, and acted by Sylvester Stallone. Rocky who is played by Sylvester Stallone is a mean fighting machine who is the world champion. He is unstoppable and very strong. He loves fighting but he thinks he is ready to retire and quit being a fighting god. Soon, when a unknown challenger thinks he can beat Rocky anytime and anywhere, Balboa thinks he has one more fight to prove that he is the best.
This movie attracted many viewers with its great sound affects and awesome fighting scenes. I thought it was a very entertaining movie and that people of all ages would love this movie. It is a inspirational clip that really makes you see how hard work pays off. Boxing is a very tough sport that is something that takes dedication and months of training to be the best. I liked in this movie how Rocky finds out in himself that he wants to fight for the right reasons, and not to prove to anyone but himself that he is the best. I loved watching him train and learn along the way that he must fight for his own glory, and not other peoples opinions. For instance, while Rocky learns more about why he is such an amazing fighter he understands that believing in yourself is enough to achieve the impossible.
In the end, the movie had a good message to all viewers, and like i said was very inspirational. The acting was good, and it made your heart jump at times. I wish that Rocky Balboa was a non fictional character so that his accomplishment could prove to people that this just isn't a movie but real life.

The Spanish Prisoner ( 7 out of 10)
Recently we watched The Spanish Prisoner and I really enjoyed watching it. I thought that it was a great movie with a unique story line that you actually had to pay attention too. The Movie was about a man named Joe Ross, played by Campbell Scott, who invented his own scientific plan that was going to make him rich. When his boss and other people find out about this, he becomes a target for people to find and take his plan. The movie was very tricky and had a lot of cleverness.
In this movie I liked and disliked some things. I liked how the movie kept you guessing what was going to happen next. It got very confusing after a while because you could never keep track of who was bad or good. For example, his old girlfriend who he goes to ask for help ends up being a bad guy. While watching the movie I would have never assumed she was bad. Some things i didn't like was the acting. I thought that a lot of the acting was bad, and has really cheesy lines and acting. For instance at the end of the movie when they were going to kill Joe. It was not scary or life threatening acting to me at all.
Overall the movie was a solid 7 out of 10 and i would recommend this to people to watch. I know my parents enjoyed it more than me because its a great movie for adults. It will trick you and it is fun to get caught up in it. I would dare you to guess the ending and watch it with your friends.

The bourn identity ( 9 out of 10)
The Bourn Identity directed by Doug liman was a very exciting and thrilling movie. I have seen it many times and I always find it interesting to watch. Matt Damon who plays Jason Bourn is a man who wakes up with gun bullets in his body, and has no idea who he is or how they got there. He has no memory of his identity nor his previous life before waking up. He is on a quest to find out but with every police man in every country looking for him, he has a hard time to recall what exactly is going on.
Matt Damon did a excellent job playing the role of Jason. The story takes place all over Europe and has Jason traveling everywhere to get himself out of trouble. One of the coolest parts of the movie was when Matt had to do a lot of stunts and fighting. For example, when Matt knew a gunman was trying to kill him, but he got to him first by knowing how and where to find him before he could get away. He couldn't remember anything but slowly he learned how smart he was at finding bad guys and killing them. He does an amazing job of being the runaway man who is innocent but is believed to be guilty.
There wasn't a bad line in this movie. I thought it had very good acting and a very good story line. It is a very confusing movie if you don't pay attention to it, but it is good because of how intense and heart throbbing it is. I would recommend this to anyone who likes thrillers and suspense. It keeps you wondering what is going to happen next.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button ( 10 out of 10)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, held an extraordinary plot and story line then most I have seen. This movie was made to dominate the charts while having its two main characters played by Brad Pit, and Cate Blanchett. These two acted as lovers, who hearts were growing closer as there age was growing apart. Brad Pit, who plays Benjamin, a man who was born at his highest aging point, and grows younger instead of older. Cate plays Daisy, a little girl when Brad first meets her that becomes the love of his life. Fate has different paths for them, but there love will guide them in the right direction.
While watching this movie I grew very emotional and got wrapped up into the story. I liked how the movie was told by a narrator and he was telling it from his point of view. Brad Pitt who was the narrator, also did a very good job speaking with an accent, and did a fabulous job transforming his character to an old man. One of my favorite parts of the movie was when Brad was explaining to the audience how Daisy breaks her leg, and how if the guy who ran her over would have done something different or the lady would have not been late to pick up her package, that it would have never happened. I thought it was very interesting to think about how things work out the way they do because we turned left instead of right.
I don't really know if there was a point to be made in this movie, but I believe that there was a message the movie was trying to give away and that is that time, and age cant stop two people from loving each other. It was very sweet and romantic and was really something I think older couples would enjoy. Overall, I thought it was a very good movie. It is not one of my favorite love stories but it definitely made a entertaining movie and had its moments of touching my heart.

serendipity (1 out of 10)
Serendipity, a movie about true love and fates way of bringing two people together through its clues and signs made a disappointing movie to me. This movie took place in New York where two people meet and believe that they're soul mates, but put there love in fates hands to bring them together, if they are really meant to be. Although this movie had very good actors, I already knew what was going to happen through out the whole movie.
I didn't like this movie because there has been many others like it. I sat through the whole thing already knowing the ending. It had no mystery and did not make your heart jump. For example, when we first started watching this movie I had no idea what it was going to be about, but in the first five minutes when the man and the woman meet for the first time you already new it was a love story where in the end no matter what, they would end up together. I never got excited to see what would happen. I would say it was very boring and plain.
I did however like the actors in this movie. I thought John Cusack and kate Beckinsale did a great job and are two of my favorite actors and actresses today. I think what makes a good movie is having a good story line and having mystery. Everyone wants to get caught up in the suspense, but this movie lacked that. I think watching this movie once would be enough but twice I would fall asleep.

Seinfeld episode 2 (10 out of 10)
Today we watched another Sienfeld episode, and this one was very funny. I liked this one better than the last one we watched. This episode was so hilarious and made me crack up. I would definitely watch this episode again and would love show it to my friends. I love how the show can make you laugh about something so ridiculous but be so true.
While watching the episode today I enjoyed how they made sexual preferences that were extremely funny. The whole episode was about a "sexual move" that Jerry in the past has used on many woman. The move now is being used by Elaine's boyfriend, and Jerry doesn't like how anyone else is using it. Eventually the move is used wrong by George and leaves him single. Even though they never tell the audience what the move is, its still funny. This to some people would be found very entertaining, or very stupid. I certainly found this episode to be very good.
Another thing I liked about the episode, was how kramer ended up with a different license plate. Instead of receiving his, he got one that said ass man, which belongs to a famous doctor in New York, which no one knows who. In the end kramer finds out who he is and it makes a great ending.

finding Nemo (7 out of 10)
This week we watched Finding Nemo, directed by Andrew Stanton. Finding Nemo came out in 2003 and made over 864,000,000 dollars. The movie drew peoples attention by the amazing colors of the ocean the movie showed, and the reality it shared, like you were actually swimming in the ocean. The story takes place in the deep blue sea, where a protective Clown fish named Marlin, watches his son, Nemo, get captured by scuba divers outside the drop off, where they live. Marlin, ready to fight for his son because he has nothing to lose, travels many miles across the ocean to find Nemo. He will go through a dangerous yet exciting adventure that will require trust and love.
This movie is different from all the other disney films to me because it shows how hard life can really be. People can relate to losing there family members and what it is like to fight for the ones you love. This movie opened up my heart and made me feel grateful to have my family. I loved how while watching the film you saw how people can change, for example when Dory first meets Marlin and tells him she has short term memory loss, and in the end she starts to memorize things that had happened to her. It was a very unique characteristic to give to a fish, and I really liked that.
Another thing I enjoyed about the film was the humor. This move made me laugh a lot at some parts, for instance when Dory starts to pretend to speak whale, and Marlin gets mad. She actually communicates with the whale without even realizing it. I thought that it was pretty funny scene. The movie was very entertaining and i think will always be a popular film to young people and their families. I would definitely recommend this to people and there children, and would hope to see another film come out just like it very soon.

karate Kid (5 out of 10)
In class this past week we watched the Karate Kid, made in 1984 and directed by John G. Avildsen. The movie takes place in California, where a boy and his mother move to have a better life. Soon the boy Daniel larusso, played by Ralph Macchio, has some troubles with bullies and turns to learn Karate by a karate master, who influences Ralph to overcome his challenge and become a better person.
While watching this movie, there were things I liked and didn't liked. I liked pacifically the time period it was made in. The eighties are my favorite decade and I thought all the actors and actresses were very good looking and the clothes were my favorite accessory. I also liked how the boy and the girl in the movie fell in love and started to like each other. I thought it made it a lot more interesting and fun to watch.
Some things that I didn't like in the movie was that it was a little but cheesy and the story was cliche, and was not very original. I didn't like how the Karate teacher fixes Daniel's leg just by touching it. I thought that was very unrealistic and a bit pointless to have. While watching I thought that it went by really fast and it didn't do a very good job explaining more and staying on topic. For example Daniel larusso learns karate that we never saw him practice and wins a competition in one day. I thought it should have been more inspirational and longer in the process of him learning how to beat the bad guys that have been training for longer than him.
Over all the movie was satisfactory and is a great flick for younger boys and girls. I would recommend this to people because, it is entertaining to a certain level that I think people will enjoy very much. I am excited to see how the 2010 karate kid turns out to be, and hope it is better than this one.

Compare and Contrast
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, were both fantastic stories that was made into two great movies. The first movie made in 1971 was a well made children's movie, but for me I didn't care for the acting and had more singing then needed. I thought that some of the scenes were very boring but while it was out, made a very good movie to watch with the family.
The next film of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was made in 2005 and had the same plot but in a time of new technology, and bigger ideas. This movie compared to the first one had a lot of differences, such as much more machines making the chocolate and it was a bigger factory. Also, Charlie's father is also alive in the 2005 version, and the Umpa lumpa's looked very different and sang different songs. Everything is very dramatic and over exaggerated but in a way that makes it seem real and believable.
The reason I think people would like the 2005 version better because it has more humor and the characters personalities are stronger and more entertaining. Willy Wonka was my favorite character played by Johnny Depp. He did a fantastic job executing the character. His facial expressions and the way he talked really made his character real. I also liked the ending of the 2005 film when charlie and his family live in the chocolate factory .
Watching the second film made me wish there was such a place as a chocolate factory. Candy isn't just candy in these movies, and i know that watching this again will be just as good as the first time. I would recommend seeing this moving to anyone who enjoys a happy movie with a very creative scenes and special affects.
