finding Nemo (7 out of 10)

This week we watched Finding Nemo, directed by Andrew Stanton. Finding Nemo came out in 2003 and made over 864,000,000 dollars. The movie drew peoples attention by the amazing colors of the ocean the movie showed, and the reality it shared, like you were actually swimming in the ocean.  The story takes place in the deep blue sea, where a protective Clown fish named Marlin, watches his son, Nemo, get captured by scuba divers outside the drop off, where they live. Marlin, ready to fight for his son because he has nothing to lose, travels many miles across the ocean to find Nemo. He will go through a dangerous yet exciting adventure that will require trust and love.

This movie is different from all the other disney films to me because it shows how hard life can really be. People can relate to losing there family members and what it is like to fight for the ones you love. This movie opened up my heart and made me feel grateful to have my family. I loved how while watching the film you saw how people can change, for example when Dory first meets Marlin and tells him she has short term memory loss, and in the end she starts to memorize things that had happened to her. It was a very unique characteristic to give to a fish, and I really liked that.

Another thing I enjoyed about the film was the humor. This move made me laugh a lot at some parts, for instance when Dory starts to pretend to speak whale, and Marlin gets mad. She actually communicates with the whale without even realizing it. I thought that it was pretty funny scene. The movie was very entertaining and i think will always be a popular film to young people and their families. I would definitely recommend this to people and there children, and would hope to see another film come out just like it very soon.
